About PRACTICE

At PRACTICE, we believe every scholar deserves a fair opportunity to succeed.

Since 2010, we've supported more than 260,000 students through educational programs designed to close learning gaps, strengthen academic performance, and create meaningful opportunities for scholars.

We partner with K–12 schools to deliver tutoring, academic support programs, and technology solutions that help educators support student success.

We're looking for experienced, driven sales professionals who understand the K–12 education landscape and want to build meaningful partnerships while making a measurable impact

About the Role

As a Strategic Account Executive at PRACTICE, you'll own the sales process from prospecting through closing, building relationships with school and district decision-makers to bring our educational programs to more scholars.

This is a proactive, relationship-driven sales role for someone who knows how to identify opportunities, navigate complex education purchasing decisions, and consistently turn outreach into new partnerships.

You'll be responsible for building your own pipeline, developing strategic relationships, managing sales opportunities, and achieving revenue targets.

You'll have access to PRACTICE's existing database of schools, sales tools, and structured onboarding resources, but success in this role requires initiative, disciplined prospecting, and the ability to independently generate new business.

At full ramp, Account Executives are expected to achieve an annual sales quota of $700,000, supported by disciplined outbound prospecting, strategic account management, and consistent pipeline development.

Our sales expectations include a minimum of 30 calls and 20 emails per day, with approximately 3× quota pipeline coverage established by Month 3.

What You'll Do

Build and Own Your Sales Pipeline

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with K–12 schools and districts.
  • Generate your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, including calls, emails, referrals, networking, and strategic outreach.
  • Consistently create qualified opportunities and advance prospects through the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records, activity tracking, and forecasts in Salesforce.

Navigate K–12 Decision-Making

  • Build relationships with principals, superintendents, academic leaders, and other school and district decision-makers.
  • Understand how schools evaluate, approve, and purchase educational services.
  • Navigate multiple stakeholders and develop relationships with individuals who can champion PRACTICE's programs internally.
  • Understand school funding considerations, including Title I funding, district budgets, and relevant state and local education funding sources.

Drive Revenue and Close New Business

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract execution.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand school needs and identify opportunities for PRACTICE's programs.
  • Present solutions, develop proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new partnerships.
  • Consistently work toward monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and support long-term partnership growth.

Contribute to a High-Performance Sales Team

  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager and internal teams to improve sales strategies and execution.
  • Use feedback, coaching, and sales performance data to continuously improve results.
  • Share successful prospecting approaches and lessons learned with the team.
  • Demonstrate accountability, persistence, and a commitment to measurable outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Proven Sales Experience

  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales, preferably selling educational programs, services, or technology to K–12 schools and districts.
  • Experience independently generating pipeline through outbound prospecting.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience managing opportunities from initial contact through contract execution.

K–12 Market Knowledge

  • Understanding of school and district decision-making processes.
  • Familiarity with education budgets, purchasing cycles, and procurement considerations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with school leaders and decision-makers.
  • Experience developing relationships within public, charter, or private education environments.

Strong Sales Execution

  • Confidence conducting discovery conversations, handling objections, and negotiating agreements.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain a disciplined follow-up process.
  • Comfort using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Growth Mindset and Accountability

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable in a remote environment.
  • Receptive to coaching and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
  • Passionate about expanding educational opportunities for children.

Compensation & Benefits

$70,000 Annual Base Salary + Commission | 110,000–165,000 First-Year OTE

At PRACTICE, we believe exceptional sales performance should create lasting financial growth. Our compensation structure rewards strong results through commissions, performance-based incentives, and opportunities for permanent increases to your base salary.

Your Compensation Package Includes:

  • Annual Base Salary: $70,000.
  • First-Year On-Target Earnings (OTE): 110,000–165,000, subject to sales performance.
  • Three-Month Onboarding Bonus: $5,125, paid incrementally during your first three months:
    • Month 1: $2,541.67
    • Month 2: $1,708.33
    • Month 3: $875.00
  • Performance-Based Commissions: Earn commissions on qualifying sales, with rates varying by program, sales type, and pricing.
  • Permanent Salary Accelerators: Top-performing Account Executives can earn up to $10,000 in permanent base salary increases within their first six months and up to $15,000 cumulatively within their first 12 months, subject to defined performance milestones.

How Our Salary Accelerators Work

Starting at $70,000, qualifying top performers may increase their annual base salary to:

  • $80,000 within their first six months.
  • $85,000 within their first 12 months.

As base salary increases, sales quotas increase accordingly.

Benefits

Our benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, paid holidays, PTO, and an additional no-questions-asked day off per month.

Mileage and approved travel expenses are reimbursed.

Why PRACTICE?

At PRACTICE, your work goes beyond sales. Every partnership you help build creates an opportunity to support more scholars and strengthen the schools serving them.

You'll join a mission-driven team that values initiative, accountability, continuous growth, and meaningful results.

If you're an experienced sales professional who enjoys building relationships, creating new opportunities, and delivering measurable impact, we'd love to hear from you.
