Bilingual (Spanish) ELA Tutor

PRACTICE is seeking motivated, dependable, and bilingual (English/Spanish) individuals to provide in-person English Language Arts (ELA) tutoring. Whether you're a college student, recent graduate, or someone interested in gaining experience in education, this entry-level opportunity allows you to strengthen your professional skills while helping scholars develop literacy, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
As a PRACTICE Education Champion, you'll collaborate with classroom teachers to provide meaningful academic support to scholars in both English and Spanish.
Position Details
Compensation: $27–$30 per hour
Format: In-person tutoring
Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Subject: English Language Arts (ELA)
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English and Spanish
Completion Bonus: Opportunity to earn up to 10% of total program earnings upon successful program completion, subject to eligibility requirements.
What You'll Do
Provide individualized and small-group tutoring in English Language Arts.
Support scholars in developing reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and literacy skills.
Explain academic concepts clearly in English and Spanish to support multilingual learners.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to reinforce lessons and address individual learning needs.
Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment that builds scholar confidence and academic growth.
Maintain consistent attendance, professionalism, and communication throughout the program.
What We're Looking For
Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate and explain academic concepts in both languages.
Interest in working with scholars and supporting their academic development.
Availability to work at least three weekdays per week during school hours.
Dependability, professionalism, and commitment to an agreed-upon program schedule.
Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate with educators.
Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or youth-development experience is a plus, but not required.
