About Memorial Middle School: Memorial Middle School, located in the heart of historic Seminole Heights near downtown Tampa, serves approximately 600 students in grades 6-8. The school has a diverse student body, with 70% Hispanic, 18% Black, 8% White, and 3% identifying as two or more races. A significant portion of the students (72%) are economically disadvantaged. The school offers a range of electives, including Spanish, Art, Drama, AVID college readiness, and Band, and emphasizes community partnerships to empower students.
Program Details
- Duration: 15 weeks (February 11, 2025 – May 30, 2025)
- Frequency: 3 days per week
- Session Times: 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM (5 hours/day)
- Target Group: ELL students requiring academic and language development support

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring focusing on English Language Arts (ELA).
- Support bilingual students in achieving language proficiency and academic excellence.

- Monitor and report on student progress.
- Participate in monthly training sessions.
Qualities We Seek:
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
